Here’s a couple more portraits of Strange Famous’ finest. Buddy Peace and B. Dolan who are collaborators on a number of projects. These drawings both join my other Strange Famous Portraits of Sage Francis and Buck 65
A portrait of Amy Winehouse that is part of my Forever 27 project.
I’ve been working away at my Bookassette project, there are two more in the updated Bookassette page along with a new gallery. I’m still missing photographs for two of my Bookassettes that are out there but I’ll get there one day. One of the new editions is for my friend Floss Cobb and another for my friend Jamie Flam
In August 2012 my two good friends Floss Cobb and David Bevins got married I drew them this portrait to commemorate the occasion. Gotta say ‘Bring Your Own Food’ at a wedding totally works, it was a delightful day and I was filled with pride, love and admiration for these two glorious people. I love this mister and missis very much
Here’s the butterfly I designed for the immensely talented 2econd Class Citizen and his new album “The Small Minority” it’s a very accomplished release that I’ve been enjoying since he enlisted my help with the artwork. You can get a very limited edition of a poster that coincided with the release of the album here and copies of the album direct from Equinox Records here and even listen to the thing here. Plus, another outrageously talented man Buddy Peace has done a remix of the track “Liberated Lady” from the album (my personal favourite) that you can download and dance around or nod your head approvingly to or do what I do whenever I hear something new that Buddy has done which is just go “Oh Buddy, yes!” And as a little aside from all this Small Minority babble, Buddy Peace has just released a banging album with B. Dolan called “House of Bees Vol. 2″ that you can get from Strange Famous Records here. Don’t question it, just get it.
Some new portraits for peeping at. John Lennon and even another of fucking Robert Pattinson, that was a real phase that died a fast death. Sorry but he had a good face that I enjoyed drawing and now… money has ruined it. Speaking of the erosion of people’s appeal by way of gross publicity I wrote a lengthy and pointless letter that nobody responded to after watching the obnoxiously titled The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part One. Like I said there was a real phase I went through with that shit so, yes, this letter.
One activity I enjoy the most among all others is assembling a bunch of stuff to give to people. It will normally involve a mixtape or CD or both if I think you wont have access to a tape machine, some artwork and trinkets or chotchkies… The example I’ve posted here was from a care package I made for Sage Francis and actually got to hand over to him instead of sending it away into the ether, now I made this in a hurry and only noticed afterwards that I messed it up. The quote starts with a misspelled line that I was supposed to cut off. Ha, oops. Apparently this is a good thing though as it’s like an “error card” in baseball or a “miss press” in vinyl. Lucky Mister Francis
I’ve added a new Drawings page, it’s mostly old drawings but a new page of them, ffressshh!
A logo type thing I designed for Buddy Peace. He created a cool and calming blend of music for Immaculatize! and I created the artwork for it. It’s the first of many Immaculation Blends Buddy will be concocting for Jamie Flam’s Immaculatize throughout 2012 so stay tuned for more
